Let me help you find the one which is just perfect for you!

Set entirely within the Italian region of Lombardy, Lake Como, of all the Italian Lakes, has the most variety, and in my opinion, the most charm. Picturesque villages, stone-hewed ports, magnificent villas in resplendent verdant gardens along the banks of this Pre-Alpine lake…. The only difficult question is deciding which of these options is the perfect choice for your Lake Como Wedding. Bellagio, often known as the ‘Pearl of the Lake’, is a most alluring and captivating town and sits snugly on a promontory at the confluence of the lake’s two arms.

Local Food & Cooking Class

Specialties from the region include Taleggio cheese (one can visit the caves in the Valsassina region), and Gorgonzola, from the town of the same name. Saffron risotto to the breadcrumbed cutlet called cotoletta Milanese. Then there is a consommé from Pavia with an egg added, a pork and cabbage cassoulet, from Valtellina’s contribution of pizzoccheri (a buckwheat version of tagliatelle) and bresaola (air-dried salt beef) to the cured salame of Varzi and fresh water fish, including the famous dried and grilled lake Como lavarello. Milan’s panettone is renowned, as is the almond-flavoured Amaretto liqueur from Saronno and nougat from Cremona.

Local wines & Wine Tasting

The Domasino wines are made on the northern end of the lake; the vineyard has a cellar door. Nearby, DOCG wines in Lombardy include Franciacorta (a fine bubbly), Valtellina Superiore (high altitude wines) and Sforzato di Valtellina. Some famous DOCs here include Lugana and Garda, while lesser known DOCs include Botticino (near Brescia), Moscato di Scanzo and Valcalepio (both near Bergamo), and Oltrepò Pavese (south of Pavia).

Walking, Hiking and Outdoor

The Dorsale Del Triangolo Lariano Trail, the walk from Menaggio to Mount di Tremezzo or the supposedly relatively easy 10.5 km Greenway walk, from Colonno to Griante are highly regarded.
Enjoy the experience of sailing the Lake with your Private Motor Boat, or hire the equipment and go windsurfing, kitesurfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking or take lessons with local Lake Como esperts.
